Darren Rose, the newly appointed Executive Director for Madera County Economic Development Commission, brings two decades of expertise in public and government affairs to his advisory board role. His extensive career in this field dates back to 1999, where he notably served as a district director for a Member of Congress, focusing on Madera County and the broader Central Valley.

A seasoned leader, Rose is also the founder of Rose Strategic Communications (RSC), a strategic communications and public affairs company established in 2010. His commitment to public service is evident through his five-year tenure as a Reserve Deputy for the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office. Additionally, Mr. Rose has actively contributed to the political landscape, working on 45 campaigns across the Valley.

Throughout his impressive career, Mr. Rose has honed his skills in economic development, agriculture, water, and infrastructure. His passion for these areas has been demonstrated both as a congressional staffer and as a consultant. Currently, as the Executive Director of the Madera County Economic Development Commission, Rose is dedicated to expanding opportunities for businesses to thrive in Madera. He firmly believes that Madera County is poised for a prosperous future.

Educationally, Rose holds a Master of Arts in International Relations and a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from California State University, Fresno. Committed to lifelong learning, he has further enriched his knowledge through executive education programs at prestigious institutions such as Georgetown University, where he completed the Legislative Studies Program at the Government Affairs Institute, Dartmouth, where he participated in the Brand and Reputation Program at the Tuck School of Business, and Columbia Executive Education Program, completing the Digital Marketing Program at the Emeritus Institute of Management from September to December 2017.

Mr. Rose succeeds Bobby Kahn at both the EDC and CVNMTC's advisory board since its inception. Mr. Rose is enthusiastic about continuing this legacy and driving positive economic growth for Madera County.
